Get To Know Seattle

Known as a birthplace of innovation, technology, and countless other creative passions, Seattle is one of the fastest growing cities in the United States. It’s the northernmost major U.S. city, located on an isthmus between Puget Sound and Lake Washington. Just beyond the urban core of nearly 800,000 residents, Seattle is surrounded by the natural beauty of three national parks — North Cascades National Park, Olympic National Park, and Mount Rainier National Park — as well as numerous lakes and islands.

With unobstructed water and mountain views, Downtown is the city’s commercial core. There you can find the famous Pike Place Market, the flagship Nordstrom store, the Seattle Art Museum, and the Seattle Symphony’s Benaroya Hall. From Downtown, the Seattle Monorail takes you to the Queen Anne neighborhood, to the grounds of Seattle Center, the site of the 1962 World’s Fair, where you can experience the iconic Space Needle and check out the mind-bending artwork of Chihuly Garden and Glass.

Explore Seattle’s varied, compact neighborhoods, the influence of its Asian cultural heritage, the city’s numerous dining spots, and the wide-ranging arts and culture scene to get the full flavor of this west coast gem.
